You have the opportunity to participate in workshops and/or masterclasses with popular Australian actress Alicia Gardiner. Best known for her role as Nurse Kim in Offspring, Alicia is also known for her roles in JACK IRISH: BAD DEBTS as well as REDFERN NOW, KATH & KIM, MISS FISCHER’S MURDER MYSTERIES, QUEEN KAT, SEA CHANGE and the soon to be released feature film, DOWNRIVER. Alicia is a trained vocalist having studied classical voice at The Victorian College of The Arts and going on to perform roles in major musicals such as ‘Ali’ in the original cast of the hit stage show, MAMMA MIA. Alicia has taught music and drama in various capacities around Australia for twenty years and has had much experience in film and television casting processes.

Numbers for each session are capped and places are limited. Your expression of interest in participating in any of Alicia’s classes will operate on a ‘first in first served’ basis so please be prompt in returning your acknowledgement as soon as possible.

Secondary school student workshop – $95

Saturday 17 October, 9.00am to 12.00pm

This workshop will involve students working on scripts provided prior to the workshop. Exploration of character work, vocal work, drama activities, mock auditions film/TV/theatre techniques and more. Q&A session included.

Adult Workshop – $95

Saturday 17 October, 1.00pm to 4.00pm

Suitable for those new to acting as well as those wanting to work on their skills. Fun drama based activities, touching on film and TV techniques and basic script work, improvisation, character work and voice work. Q&A session included.

Wangaratta Players + Theatre Friends Masterclass – $35

Saturday 17 October, 5.00pm to 6.30pm

Time spent on vocal works (groups, solos, duo’s etc.) and feedback and advice on amateur theatre scenes/works.

Community Vocal Workshop – $15

Saturday 17 October, 7.30pm to 9.00pm

A beautiful, unrestrictive experience suitable for beginners to established singers. Quietly introspective and outwardly joyous, this workshop includes circle singing, sound bathing, gentle improvisation, vocal percussion and a chance to connect with your community. Includes healthy snack. Age 16+.

Primary School student workshop – $35

Sunday 18 October, 12.30pm to 2.00pm

Fun drama based activities, character work, improvisation, basic script work and singing.

Private half hour vocal session – $50

At a time to be negotiated.
