Bopping Bass Guitar Program

What’s It All About?

The Bopping Bass Guitar Program is a great program to help prepare for the demands of Secondary College. With a head start on learning the bass guitar, students become very familiar with the technique, musicality and performance aspects of the instrument and become significantly more prepared for future orchestral and band commitments.

How Is The Bopping Bass Guitar Program Taught?

The format involves group tuition of students combined with other guitar students in a weekly half-hour lesson, involving one tutor. This depends on the number of students enrolled in the program, the space and the time constraints. Note: private individual lessons can be arranged and are held for 20 or 30 minutes. With the use of bass guitars, amplifiers and headphones, the tutor can spend time with each student as well the students working together as a group. Group tuition provides great opportunities for students to work together in skill development and presentation. An annual CVM concert is held each year for parents and friends.

How Much Does It Cost?

Group lessons for 2020 cost $15 per lesson and private lessons at $32 per half hour lesson (includes GST). Fees are payable on your invoice and may be made by Cash or EFT – information required for this appears on the invoice. All tutors are obliged to give the number of lessons your child has been invoiced for. The exception to this rule is when a child is absent from school on extended holidays or a lengthy illness. Should these exceptions apply to you, please contact the CVM office and an adjustment will be made.

Please note that CVM is not obliged to make up lessons missed due to general illness, school camps, etc., but will endeavour to do so as much as possible. Invoices MUST be paid within the 14 day period so as to maintain a secured place for your child. (The Customer shall pay the Supplier for all costs incurred by the Supplier (including costs for which the Supplier may be contingently liable) in any attempt to collect any monies owed by the Customer to the Supplier under this Agreement including debt collection agent costs, repossession costs, location search costs, process server costs and solicitor costs on a solicitor/client basis).

When Are Lessons Conducted?

Depending on the School and Teacher availability, lessons are conducted in school time, recess and lunch time, before and after school.

Is An Instrument Necessary?

An instrument is not immediately required. If available, instruments can be hired. Also, if there is an acoustic guitar at home, this can be used whilst establishing fundamentals.

When Do Lessons Commence?

Term 1 2020 lessons will commence early to mid February. The date of commencement will be confirmed via personal text message and on your Invoice, sent out after the receipt of your Enrolment Form.

Happy Bass Guitar Playing!
